DESCRIPTION
A man enjoying a Christmassy dream about a plum pudding (Christmas pudding). Unfortunately, the dream takes him along a path from too much good living to his own destruction, via himself seen as a pudding, a pudding in a cloth, too much alcohol, on to medication and, finally, his time runs out and the grim reaper approaches! From “The Queen - an Illustrated Journal & Review - Christmas Number” from December 1861. The newspaper was published in London and was aimed at mainly upper class people who would attend court functions and society events.
